Grand Theatre
The stage at London’s Grand Theatre has been inspiring and entertaining locals and visitors alike for over 120 years. Lately, under the leadership of Artistic Director Denis Garnhum, they’ve been “world curious, London proud;” staging a balanced mix of local and international productions and highlighting emerging talent through their renowned High School Project.
Museum London
Born from the amalgamation of an art gallery and historical museum back in 1989, Museum London boasts an art collection of more than 5,000 works of art alongside 45,000 artefacts reflecting the region’s history. So yeah—there’s a LOT to explore here! Throw in the building’s unique architecture and stellar views of the forks of the river and there’s even more to discover.
Aeolian Hall
There’s so much we could say about this place… Beyond the renowned acoustics and world-class talent to regularly grace its stage, Aeolian Hall has become a fixture of London’s Old East Village; investing heavily in the community through their El Sistema youth program and scores of benefit concerts and events.
History Walks
The pandemic may have put a pause on Museum London’s historical walking tours, but we’re keeping them on the list and anxiously awaiting their return because they’re just that good. Past tours have included a deep dive into the history of Dundas Street with a stop at the market and some Downtown Dollars to spend along the way.
London Music Hall
It’s not hard to make a case for the importance of the London Music Hall to the region’s live music scene. With a capacity of 1,600, the room plays a unique role in hosting acts with a fan base lucky enough to see them perform in a room Shad considers the “best in Canada…100%” for its size.
