Best Live Sports 👏

It’s easy to be a sports fan in London—and not just because our teams are winning most of the time 😉! From historic venues to charitable impacts, here are five of our favourite local sporting events to check out.

London Majors

The crowd’s great, the view is awesome, and the team’s pretty good too—what’s not to love about watching the London Majors take the field at the world’s oldest continually operating baseball diamond?!

London Knights

The London Knights have been mixing it up in the Ontario Hockey League since 1968. Over those 50+ years they’ve added 11 Division trophies; six Western Conference titles; four Ontario Hockey League Championships, and two Memorial Cups to their record.

If you can only make it to one game, try to make it the annual Teddy Bear toss where you’ll experience the utter joy of watching thousands of stuffed animals rain down on the ice—in support of the Salvation Army’s Christmas Hamper program—after the first goal.

London Lightning

Chances are good you’re reading this while the Lightning are winning a game. With multiple championships—and some of the National Basketball League of Canada’s highest attendance records–the “black and gold” always offer an entertaining 4 quarters of play.

FC London

Can’t make it to Qatar to watch Canada in the World Cup this year? Don’t worry, there’s a lot of great football/soccer to watch here in town care of FC London. Their women’s and men’s teams play in Ontario’s most competitive league, and their affiliation with Toronto FC only adds to the excitement on the pitch.

5KM Foam Fest

It only happens once a year, but it’s worth the wait to watch participants “brave” 5 wet and wild kilometres of obstacles like a waterslide, the “chamber of foam” and log rolls in support of Make-A-Wish Canada.
